Leandro Paredes is an Argentina midfielder, a deep-lying playmaker and metronome who dictates tempo from the base of midfield. A World Cup winner in 2022, he returned to boyhood club Boca Juniors after spells in Italy and France.

He ran the game against Jordan, completing 154 passes, a record for an Argentine player in a single World Cup fixture since 1966.
