Junya Ito

Junya Ito is a Japan winger built on electric pace and end product, equally able to score and create from the right flank. A late bloomer, he made his name at Kashiwa Reysol and then in Belgium with Genk before a move to Reims in France's Ligue 1, where he became one of the league's most dangerous wide men. He returned to Genk in 2025 and remains a key man for the national team.

He capped a fine night with Japan's third goal in their 4-0 win over Tunisia at the 2026 World Cup.
