Jonathan David

Jonathan David is Canada's talisman and one of the most reliable finishers his country has produced. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Ottawa, he broke through in Belgium with Gent before a move to Lille, where his goals helped the French side to the Ligue 1 title in 2021 and made him one of Europe's most coveted strikers. In 2025 he joined Juventus.

Cool in front of goal to the point of earning the nickname "The Iceman", he is among Canada's all-time leading scorers. He underlined the billing at the 2026 World Cup with a hat-trick in the 6-0 win over Qatar that lifted him level at the top of the Golden Boot race.
