Eloy Room

Eloy Room is Curaçao's long-serving goalkeeper, born in the Netherlands but a fixture for the Caribbean nation since 2015. He made his name in the Eredivisie with Vitesse, where he won the KNVB Cup, before five seasons with Columbus Crew in MLS that brought the 2020 MLS Cup. Big, brave and commanding on his line, he has long been the rock Curaçao build around.

He produced one of the great World Cup goalkeeping displays against Ecuador in 2026, making fifteen saves, the most ever recorded in a 90-minute World Cup match, to earn the tournament's smallest nation a famous 0-0 draw.
