Cameron Burgess

Cameron Burgess is a towering Australia centre-back, born in Aberdeen and raised in Perth after his family moved to Western Australia when he was eleven. Standing six foot four, he made his name at Ipswich Town, where he was part of the side that won back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League, before joining Swansea City in 2025. He represented both Scotland and Australia at youth level and chose the Socceroos, making his senior debut in 2023.

The 2026 World Cup was his first, and his evening against the United States took an unlucky turn when he turned the ball into his own net.
