Boualem Khoukhi

Boualem Khoukhi is a long-serving Qatar international, an Algerian-born defender who can also operate in midfield. A mainstay of the national team for over a decade, he was part of the Qatar side that won the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.

Experienced and composed, he captained his country at the 2026 World Cup and headed home a stoppage-time equaliser against Switzerland to earn Qatar their first-ever World Cup point.
