Assim Madibo

Assim Madibo is a Qatar defensive midfielder who came through the country's Aspire Academy and built his career with Al-Duhail, with a spell in Belgium at Eupen. A combative ball-winner, he was part of the Qatar squads that won the AFC Asian Cup in 2019 and 2023 and featured at the 2022 World Cup on home soil.

His evening turned sour at the 2026 World Cup when he was sent off against Canada, the second of two Qatar red cards in a 6-0 defeat.
